This introductory course will provide Class III and Class IV asbestos workers with an introduction to a three-part series of courses that will teach asbestos awareness and applicable federal regulations for each asbestos work classification. This introductory course will demonstrate how to identify asbestos hazards as well as how to prevent and control asbestos exposure.

This course describes the health effects of asbestos and where it is commonly found. In addition, workers will learn ways to prevent exposure and the importance of respiratory protection.
